Update: 11/24/2021

 

SUNDAY is the First Sunday in Advent.  We'll begin an Advent Bible Study that morning after worship in the north classroom.  All are welcome!

SUNDAY SCHOOL will NOT meet on Sunday, Nov. 28th.

 

We will have a masked choir practice on Sunday. We will sing on the following Sunday when our bishop will preaching here.  All are welcome to be a part of the choir.

 

The Evangelism Committee has set up the Amery Secret Santa Christmas tree in the narthex area, and decorated it with tags for our Christmas families. (This is for needy families in our area.) Please take a tag or two, purchase the items, and return the gifts UNWRAPPED by Sunday, December 12th, for distribution to the schools. 

 

JIM'S BARNYARD ornaments are also on a tree in the narthex (purchase chicks, goats, pigs, etc.).  Choose an ornament, write a check to First Lutheran Church with ELCA Good Gifts in the memo line. Great way to help those less fortunate!

 

POINSETTIAS:  Because of the pandemic, we will not be ordering poinsettias this year through church.  If you would like to purchase one to bring, that's great!  Give us a call or email the office to let us know who you'd like to honor or remember with your poinsettia.  Deadline is Dec. 17th.


 

CHRISTMAS PIANO, INSTRUMENT, SINGING RECITAL on December 15th at 6pm.  There will be a sign up at church on Sunday, or email the office if you'd like to participate.  It will be a fun evening for all ages.  We will start out with pizza, games and a craft at 5pm.

February 4th Update

  Dear Sisters and Brothers in Faith, We hope this email finds you well. Update: 2/3/2023

  Dear Church Family,  Thank you for your continual prayers, support, and financial support of our shared ministry of First Lutheran. During Lent, we will be having a book/Bible study "Seven Words" by Susan Robb.  We hope to have multiple meeting times.  If you want a book ($10), please let the office know.
