Dear Church Family, 

Thank you for your continual prayers, support, and financial support of our shared ministry of First Lutheran.

 

This Sunday, March 6th, we'll worship at 9am, followed by Bible Study, Sunday School and Choir. The Bible Study will be in the youth room downstairs with the confirmation class participating.    

 

Lent Worship is on Wednesday at 7pm.  Bible Study and supper will be at 6pm

LENTEN SUPPERS continue at 6pm on Wednesday, March 8, with our Youth serving.  

 

During Lent, we will be having a book/Bible study "Seven Words" by Susan Robb.  

We hope to have multiple meeting times.  If you want a book ($10), please let the office know.

This study will be on Monday at the Tac Two, 6pm; Wednesday night at 6pm; Thursday morning at 8am; and next Sunday morning after worship.  Please email if you want a book and what day you want to participate.  You DO NOT have to read the book to be a part of the study.

 

In March, Laura Sjogren will be our Lector, Al & Diane Amans will Usher, and Gwen & Steve Wold will provide Communion Bread. 

 

One of our members is having art work displayed at Art Z:  March 1st through April 30: Flora, Fauna, and Fantasy, featuring Clint Gjerde, Sister Kristine Haugen, Joyce Halverson, Brian Hall, and Dan Flory at ART Z Gallery in Amery.  Hours: Wednesday-Friday 11am-5pm, Saturday 10am-4pm. and Sunday 11am-4pm. 

 

SYNOD WALKING TOGETHER Rebound: From Nostalgia to New will be held on Saturday, March 11th, at Bethany Lutheran in Rice Lake, from 8am-4pm.  Cost is $25/person, including lunch.  If you'd like to attend, financial assistance can be provided if you need it.  For details and to register visit: https://nwswi.org/walking-together-epic/walking-together-2023.  The synod is asking for a head count for their caterers by MONDAY, MARCH 6TH, at 10am. 


First Communion Class, for kids of any age, has been switched to Saturday, April 1st, from 9-11am.   First Communion will be Maundy Thursday, April 6, with a supper at 6pm (for the First Communion kids and their families) and the service will be at 7pm.

Please let the office know if your child wants to be a part of this.

February 4th Update

  Dear Sisters and Brothers in Faith, We hope this email finds you well. We keep you in our thoughts and prayers.  Thank you for your continual prayers, support, and financial support of our shared ministry of First Lutheran. We will worship this Sunday, February 6th, at 9am.   Sunday School/Confirmation will be from 10-10:45.  We are having Open Gym at the INTERMEDIATE School for our church families from 12:30-1:30 (we have the gym to ourselves for this hour!).  You are welcome to stay until 3:30 if you'd like as the gym is open to the community until then!  Please invite friends to all of our activities!   Covid and vaccine-breakthrough cases are continuing to hit members of our congregation.  If you do not want to worship in person, you can join us online on our webpage: flcamery, or on First Lutheran Amery on Youtube or Facebook.  Each week we hear of more of our dear members being sick.
