Dear Church Family,

Please put this on your calendar and invite friends and neighbors:

 

Wednesday, Dec. 14th, 6pm, Jon Sunde Concert, Freewill Offering.  

“J.E. Sunde is one of the greatest indie-folk songwriters around.” –Daytrotter

Jon is an Amery native (son of Becky & Joel from Wapo).  

We are hoping to have church attenders and non church attenders at this concert.   

Our hope is that more and more people will feel welcome to be at our wonderful church.

 

Tomorrow night at 5pm at the Fire Hall, some of our church members will be dressed in hooded sweatshirts to resemble our logo.  We will be giving out fliers and candy canes.  If you want to join us, please do.  If you have a hooded sweatshirt, please wear it.  We have some white duct tape to make a cross to put on it if you want.

We were going to be a part of the parade, but the forecast looks too cold.  : (

Our worship service on the SECOND SUNDAY IN ADVENT, December 4th, will be at 9am.

Sunday School kids will meet after worship to practice for the Christmas Program, scheduled for December 18th.

 

We invite anyone who is interested to Choir Practice in our balcony after worship.

In December: Marlin & Judy Swanson will Usher and Laura Sjogren will Lector. 

Larry & Julie Riemenschneider will to provide Communion Bread on Dec. 4 and 18; Clausens will provide bread for Dec. 24th and 25th.

 

Please join us at our Thursday morning Bible Study at 8am.

 

We are getting quite a collection of LOST AND FOUND coats.  Please check them out in the narthex!

 

CIRCLE OF LOVE WREATHS is again sponsoring children through the Amery Secret Santa program for the upcoming Christmas season.  

Please return gifts by December 11th.  Thank you for your generosity! 

 

NEEDED:  Wapo is looking for Servers (help fill the serving lines, serve punch and other items) and Waiters (help to clear tables) for their annual Dinner Theater. Volunteers get to see the theater production and can partake in all courses of the meal for free. Bonus: volunteers get to work with Liz a little bit, too!)  Please call the Church Office and we'll let Liz know you can help. Servers: 1 needed December 3rd & 10th. Wait Staff: 2-3 needed each of the following nights: December 3rd, 4th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th

February 4th Update

  Dear Sisters and Brothers in Faith, We hope this email finds you well. We keep you in our thoughts and prayers.  Thank you for your continual prayers, support, and financial support of our shared ministry of First Lutheran. Update: 2/3/2023

  Dear Church Family,  Thank you for your continual prayers, support, and financial support of our shared ministry of First Lutheran. During Lent, we will be having a book/Bible study "Seven Words" by Susan Robb.  We hope to have multiple meeting times.  If you want a book ($10), please let the office know.
