Dear Church Family,

Congratulations to Mandy Selle and Brandon Anderson in the birth of their son Brekken CJ Anderson.  Born Sunday at 4:34am.

Congratulations to Jon & JoAnn Buss on the birth of their great-grandson, Hank!

 

Our worship service on Sunday, November 6th, will be at 9am.  

It is All Saints Sunday, and we'll remember our brothers and sisters in Christ who entered eternal life this past year.

Sunday School kids will meet after worship to begin practicing for the Christmas Program, scheduled for December 18th..

 

We invite anyone who is interested to Choir Practice in our balcony after worship.

 

The American Legion is having a pancake breakfast Sunday, Nov. 6,  8am-12, free will offering.  

On the menu: pancakes,French toast, sausage links, coffee, orange  juice and milk. All are welcome! 

 

PLEASE NOTE: Members of the Evangelism/Worship/Life/Marketing Committee will meet Sunday morning after worship in the north classroom. We welcome anyone that wants to join us.

 

Our local Veterans Day program at Amery High School on Friday, November 11th, starts at 8:30 am. The public is welcome to attend.

 

In November: Gerri Bieniasz-Smith will serve as our Lector, and Doug & Bev Gunderson will be our Ushers.  

 

We need volunteers to serve treats after worship on Sundays in November.   Please email or call the office for more details. 

 

DISASTER RESPONSE:  There are so many disasters all around the world.  If you want to give a general gift to First Lutheran we will pass it on to the ELCA's DISASTER RESPONSE.  If you want to give to a specific need, please send it directly to the ELCA through this link: Lutheran Disaster Response

CIRCLE OF LOVE WREATHS is again sponsoring children through the Amery Secret Santa program for the upcoming Christmas season.  Check out their display in the narthex!  If you are interested, grab a gift tag, attach it to the gift you purchase and return it by December 11th.  Thank you for your generosity!

NEEDED:  Wapo is looking for Servers (help fill the serving lines, serve punch and other items) and Waiters (help to clear tables) for their annual Dinner Theater. Volunteers get to see the theater production and can partake in all courses of the meal for free. Bonus: volunteers get to work with Liz a little bit, too!)  Please call the Church Office and we'll let Liz know you can help.

Servers: 2 needed December 2nd, 1 needed December 3rd & 10th

Wait Staff: 2-3 needed each of the following nights: December 3rd, 4th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th

February 4th Update

  Dear Sisters and Brothers in Faith, We hope this email finds you well. We keep you in our thoughts and prayers.  Thank you for your continual prayers, support, and financial support of our shared ministry of First Lutheran. We will worship this Sunday, February 6th, at 9am.   Sunday School/Confirmation will be from 10-10:45.  We are having Open Gym at the INTERMEDIATE School for our church families from 12:30-1:30 (we have the gym to ourselves for this hour!).  You are welcome to stay until 3:30 if you'd like as the gym is open to the community until then!  Please invite friends to all of our activities!   Covid and vaccine-breakthrough cases are continuing to hit members of our congregation.  If you do not want to worship in person, you can join us online on our webpage: flcamery, or on First Lutheran Amery on Youtube or Facebook.  Each week we hear of more of our dear members being sick.   Dear Church Family,  Thank you for your continual prayers, support, and financial support of our shared ministry of First Lutheran. During Lent, we will be having a book/Bible study "Seven Words" by Susan Robb.  We hope to have multiple meeting times.  If you want a book ($10), please let the office know.
