Update: 11/16/2022

 

Dear Church Family,

 

For many decades our church membership has been divided into work groups to help with Sunday morning treats, funerals and other church functions.

 

Since Covid, our work groups have been inactive, but now it is time to start things up again.

 

We are having a meeting this Sunday after church to talk about our work groups, and we invite your participation.

 

If you cannot make it, please consider giving your input by returning a message to this email. flchurchamery@yahoo.com

 

WE ARE THANKFUL FOR ALL OF OUR WORK GROUP HELPERS!  MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK.

God's word tells us that we all are blessed with a variety of gifts as we serve our good God. 

 

1.  Who would consider serving as a group leader with another person?  We hope to have 2 or more lead each group.  

They will do the calling for coffee servers and other events that need helpers. 

 

2. We are also having a re-grouping of our Funeral Group.  Usually retired people are a part of this group, because it is active during the day at various times and requires some flexibility.  Would you want to be a part of the Funeral Group?

 

3. If you are not interested in being a part of a work group and do not want members to call you for help, please let us know ASAP.

 

4. Please share any other thoughts or ideas about work groups with us.

February 4th Update

  Dear Sisters and Brothers in Faith, We hope this email finds you well. We keep you in our thoughts and prayers.  Thank you for your continual prayers, support, and financial support of our shared ministry of First Lutheran. We will worship this Sunday, February 6th, at 9am.   Sunday School/Confirmation will be from 10-10:45.  We are having Open Gym at the INTERMEDIATE School for our church families from 12:30-1:30 (we have the gym to ourselves for this hour!).  You are welcome to stay until 3:30 if you'd like as the gym is open to the community until then!  Please invite friends to all of our activities!   Covid and vaccine-breakthrough cases are continuing to hit members of our congregation.  If you do not want to worship in person, you can join us online on our webpage: flcamery, or on First Lutheran Amery on Youtube or Facebook.  Each week we hear of more of our dear members being sick. Update: 2/3/2023

  Dear Church Family,  Thank you for your continual prayers, support, and financial support of our shared ministry of First Lutheran. During Lent, we will be having a book/Bible study "Seven Words" by Susan Robb.  We hope to have multiple meeting times.  If you want a book ($10), please let the office know.
