Update: September 2nd 2022

 Dear Church Family,


Thank you for your continual prayers, support, and financial support of our shared ministry of First Lutheran. We thank God that Covid numbers are going down, but if you do not want to worship in person, you can join us online (Sundays) on our webpage: flcamery, or on First Lutheran Amery on Youtube or Facebook.  

Our service on Sunday, September 4th, will be inside at 9am.  Hope you have a wonderful Labor Day Weekend.
PLEASE NOTE: The office will be closed on Monday, September 5th, in observance of the Labor Day holiday. 

OUR THOUGHTS and PRAYERS are with Diane & Lyle Lauritsen at the death of her brother, Tom Kuhl.  Jessica Hallman and Rachel Hansen are his nieces.  Our thoughts are also with the family of Katie Nelson, a longtime teacher in the Amery School District.  Her service will be on Tuesday, September 20th, at 10am at the grave site on a hill by Peace Lutheran Church in Dresser.

 

Looking ahead to September, Linda Tempel will be an usher and is providing Communion Bread.  Jon Buss will be our Lector for this month.

 

We need volunteers to serve treats after worship on Sundays.   Please email or call the office for more details. 

 

ALL COMMITTEES: Please get your 2023 Budget Requests to the Church Council as soon as possible.  All Committee Reports to be included in our Annual Report are due September 27th.  Our Annual Meeting will be on Sunday, October 9th.

 

THE LANDSCAPE COMMITTEE could use some help.  Things are growing quickly now, including the weeds!  If you could stop by church for half an hour or an hour, that would be great!  Please email the office or call Sharon Bringewatt for further information. 

In September:  Our Thursday morning Bible Study will resume on September 8th, at 8am. 

Sunday School Rally Day will be September 11th.  We are having frozen treats and family bingo (with prizes).  It is also grandparent day. We hope to have lots of kids and grandparents having fun together.

CONGRATULATIONS to Mary Cherlberg-Polfus on the birth of her great-granddaughter, Ryley Anastasia, born to Alicia & Landen Strilzuk on August 27th!

February 4th Update

  Dear Sisters and Brothers in Faith, We hope this email finds you well. We keep you in our thoughts and prayers.  Thank you for your continual prayers, support, and financial support of our shared ministry of First Lutheran. We will worship this Sunday, February 6th, at 9am.   Sunday School/Confirmation will be from 10-10:45.  We are having Open Gym at the INTERMEDIATE School for our church families from 12:30-1:30 (we have the gym to ourselves for this hour!).  You are welcome to stay until 3:30 if you'd like as the gym is open to the community until then!  Please invite friends to all of our activities!   Covid and vaccine-breakthrough cases are continuing to hit members of our congregation.  If you do not want to worship in person, you can join us online on our webpage: flcamery, or on First Lutheran Amery on Youtube or Facebook.  Each week we hear of more of our dear members being sick. Update: 2/3/2023

  Dear Church Family,  Thank you for your continual prayers, support, and financial support of our shared ministry of First Lutheran. During Lent, we will be having a book/Bible study "Seven Words" by Susan Robb.  We hope to have multiple meeting times.  If you want a book ($10), please let the office know.
