Update: August 26th 2022

 Dear Church Family,

Thank you for your continual prayers, support, and financial support of our shared ministry of First Lutheran. We thank God that Covid numbers are going down, but if you do not want to worship in person, you can join us online (Sundays) on our webpage: flcamery, or on First Lutheran Amery on Youtube or Facebook.

Our service on Sunday, August 28th, will be outside at 9am, weather permitting.  Some people want to worship inside all of the time.  Some people want to worship outside in the summer.  Council thought that it is ok to worship outside once a month during the summer (weather permitting). The most important thing is to worship God together.  We hope that you will join us.  Bring a chair or a blanket, or use one of our folding chairs.

We thank Jon & JoAnn Buss for being our Lectors, Ushers, and for providing Communion Bread during the month of August.

Looking ahead to September, Linda Tempel will be an usher and is providing Communion Bread.  We need a volunteer to Lector.

ALL COMMITTEES: Please get your 2023 Budget Requests to the Church Council as soon as possible.

We need volunteers to serve treats after worship on Sundays.   Please email or call the office for more details.

THE LANDSCAPE COMMITTEE could use some help.  Things are growing quickly now, including the weeds!  If you could stop by church for half an hour or an hour, that would be great!  Please email the office or call Sharon Bringewatt for further information.

In September:  Our Thursday morning Bible Study will resume on September 8th, at 8am.

Sunday School Rally Day will be September 11th.  We are having frozen treats and family bingo (with prizes).  It is also grandparent day. We hope to have lots of kids and grandparents having fun together.

Sorry if we miss any prayers. Please have patience with us and let us know if we need to add any prayers.

We pray for our military personnel: Mitchell Meyer, Chase Clausen, Kathi Buss, Curtis Williamson, Keilan Mehls, Lexi Boe, and Jason Werlinger.

Our prayers are with these families who lost loved ones:  Ray Klopotek, Ryan Solum, Mary Lou Olson, Lois Kresl, Hans (Sharon's friend), Mary Nevala, Shirley Satterlund, Arlen Peterson, Ken Oman, Kay Hoff (Steve & Lisa), Doug Ripley (Jean), Tom Madsen (Connie's 54 year old nephew), Joanne Bonte (VanSomerens), Bruce Norgard (Forrests)

Prayers for Lou Williamson who is now at the Regions Therapy Hospital recovering from a stroke. He still has a lot of nausea, which makes things difficult.

Pray for Doug Gunderson who is now at home recovering from back surgery.

Bev Hallstrom had extensive back surgery.  Lots of prayers for her for healing and less pain.
