Update: May 26 2022
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Faith,
We hope this email
finds you well. We keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for your continual prayers, support, and financial support of our
shared ministry of First Lutheran. We thank God that Covid numbers are
going down, but if you do not want to worship in person, you can join us online
(Sundays) on our webpage: flcamery, or on First Lutheran Amery on Youtube or
Facebook.
We'll worship at 9am on Sunday morning. We'll have cookies in the coffee
area outside of the sanctuary after worship.
Sunday School and Sunday Confirmation class are now done for this school year;
they will both start again in the fall.
We will not have confirmation on Wednesday.
Men in Mission will
meet at Glen Clausen's on
Wednesday night.
We thank these people for serving our church in these ways during the month of
May:
Lector: Laura Sjogren and her mom, Janet Everson; Ushers: Gregg & Jill
Olson; Communion Bread: Steve & Gwen Wold
WE THANK everyone who helped with Sunday School this year! At
the risk of missing someone, we won't list all of the teachers and helpers (You
know who you are!), but please know how much we appreciate all you did to teach
our kids about Jesus! We are so thankful for all of you!
Register your kids/grandkids for Community VBS, June 12-16, 2022,
from 5:00-7:30pm: http://flcamery.org/vbs
THE LANDSCAPE COMMITTEE could use some help. Things are
growing quickly now, including the weeds! If you could stop by church for
half an hour or an hour, that would be great! Please call Sharon
Bringewatt for further information.
NEEDED: Gently used tennis shoes sizes 0-adult for Intermediate School
students. Our school also needs new or gently used tights. Please
bring these things to church and place them in the box outside of the
sanctuary. Thank you!
NEEDED: Volunteers to make Communion Bread for the months of June and
July.
Sorry if we miss any prayers. Please have patience with us and let us know
if we need to add any prayers.
Lament Prayers for the people of Buffalo, NY, and Uvalde, TX.
PRAYERS for the
Ukrainian people. If you
would like to make a contribution to the relief effort, you can write a check
to First Lutheran, on the Memo line designate it for the ELCA Disaster Response
in Ukraine, and we'll send a check from church.
We pray for our military personnel: Reid Sorensen Schad, Mitchell Meyer, Chase Clausen, Kathi Buss, Curtis Williamson, Nick Sorenson, Keilan Mehls, Lexi Boe, and Jason Werlinger.
We Remember this Memorial Day: prayers for those who died in service to our country and to their families.
