Update: 3/11/2022
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Faith,
Wow! We had a great Lenten Supper and had so many people and so
many youth on Wednesday night. We are so thankful to have our church
family gathering again for worship, food and fellowship. : )
Thanks to the youth for serving and for everyone's support!
We hope this email finds you well. We keep you in our thoughts and
prayers.
Thank you for your continual prayers, support, and financial support of our
shared ministry of First Lutheran.
A FRIENDLY REMINDER:
TURN YOUR CLOCKS AHEAD ONE HOUR before you go to bed on Saturday night, March 12th.
We will worship this Sunday, March 13th, at 9am. There will
not be Sunday School or Confirmation due to the school district's Spring
Break.
We thank God Covid
numbers are going down, but if you do not want to worship in person, you can
join us online (Sundays) on our webpage: flcamery, or on First Lutheran Amery
on Youtube or Facebook.
WE PLAN TO
HAVE SUNDAY COFFEE AFTER WORSHIP IN MARCH. Quarter Moon Acres serves
treats this Sunday. Please give generously to support their good
work. We are looking for volunteers to bring treats and to
help serve and clean up for Sundays in April. (Palm Sunday will have
the youth serving). Please let us know if you would be willing to help!
We have volunteers to serve on March 20 and 27 (thanks to Del &
Collette)!
FAMILY BINGO &
LENTEN SUPPERS continue on Wednesday, March 16th, at 6pm, followed by Worship at 7pm. Men in
Mission will serve the supper. All proceeds will be donated to our youth
program.
LENTEN WORSHIP is on
WEDNESDAY, March 16th, at 7pm. Just a reminder that Confirmation kids are required to be at
worship with their families on Wednesdays and Sundays, along with Sunday
School.
LOOKING AHEAD TO
APRIL: FIRST
COMMUNION class is offered to our youth on Saturday, April 9, from
9-10:30am. (Parents and kids can determine the age for their kids to
receive Holy Communion.) These young people and their families will have a
Seder Meal on Maundy Thursday, April 14th, at 6pm, and will receive their First
Communion that evening at our 7pm worship service.
PRAYERS also for the
Ukrainian people. If you would like to make a contribution to the relief effort,
you can write a check to First Lutheran, on the Memo line designate it for the
ELCA Disaster Response in Ukraine, and we'll send a check from church.
